News

General Updates

We are improving our software daily, based on feedback from our users.  For details, please review the update history on our Website when installing your next update.

The Maintenance Module has been further enhanced to include flexible interval servicing for individual items such as Toilets etc.

Further additional reports have been added in Sales, Suppliers, Payments, Cost Profit and Returns to enable more detailed analysis of business performance.

Budget module

The new Budget module allows you to setup a budget to help manage your cash flow.  This module enables you to review all expenses as a percentage of sales and compare actual amounts with budgeted amounts.  It will highlight areas of concern and assist in calculating where expenses can be better managed to improve returns.  Actual income and expenditure values are automatically loaded into the budget as the months go by, and the module can also calculate a budget for you automatically based on the previous years figures (which you can adjust from there).  You can even look at previous years and create budgets for the years ahead! Comes complete with Preview and Print functions for more detailed analysis with your bookkeeper or Accountant if required.

Integrated EFTPOS feature 

This feature allows HirePOS to communicate directly with EFTPOS terminals and therefore eliminates double-entry and potential user error.  The purchase/refund amount  is sent directly to the terminal, and you are notified via HirePOS as to whether the card has been swiped and whether verification has been accepted or not.  Costs will be minimal on software upgrade and also for your bank to change over machines.  Approved for Australia and NZ use at this stage.

Update your website from HirePOS & receive orders

This feature allows HirePOS to communicate directly with your Website, and therefore allow you to update an inventory list on your own Website for example.  It can also enable the receipt of orders directly from your Website as well.  It can be offered with your existing Website or hosted by HirePOS.  Charges are based on individual requirements.  Please contact us for further details.

'Cost Profit' module, Lease tracking, Asset Register & ROI reports

This module allows you to enter the lease period and payment details of hire equipment, allowing the program to provide you with up-to-date costs on equipment.  The ROI and Asset Register reports have been updated to reflect this as well and should prove quite helpful for accounting purposes.

' New Zealand ' GST Return

This new function automatically calculates 'NZ GST Return' figures on either a Cash or Accrual basis, when using the Bookkeeping edition.  Additional reports have now been included for our New Zealand users.

Payment by Credit Card

For your convenience, we now accept payments via credit card as well as direct transfer. 

Lease Payments

We now provide the opportunity for approved purchasers to lease HirePOS software for a period of 2 or 3 years.  The lease agreement will include the purchase price of the edition required, lease fees, plus all upgrades and support for that period.  Accounts will be payable on a quarterly basis (8) or (12), and at the completion of this time the program can then be purchased for a nominal residual figure.  Normal annual membership fees will apply after this period.

Customer Referrals

We have had many of our existing users recommend HirePOS to new clients.  As this process continues we would like to offer those who provide a successful referral (i.e. new purchase for a new customer), their next 12 months Annual Membership and Upgrade free of charge. 

Using HirePOS with 3rd Party Accounting Software

For those using third-party accounting software products such as MYOB or QuickBooks, we now have statement layouts available that are very similar to these programs and will provide you with some consistency, or you may choose to have your statements customised by us to suit your exact requirements (our normal hourly charge rate applies).  For example, you can have Current, 30, 60, 90 summaries, or have the aging work by calendar month rather that from the invoice date, or you may like to add your business logo.  Remember, we can also customise invoice layouts, delivery dockets, and many other reports (our normal hourly charge rate applies). 
We also have an export module, which can be customised to create export files for any accounting package.

Fully Integrated Memory Barcode Scanner.

Portable memory scanner, fits in your pocket and allows items to be scanned remotely, then return to the office for uploading. Easy data transfer through USB interface. Internal lithium-Ion battery charged via USB connection.

 

Barcode Scanner:  Print your own barcode labels and scan items.

 

Cash Drawer:  Opens cash drawer automatically when receiving cash.  Has Cheque slot.

 

Licence Scanner:  Protect your business from theft.  Character recognition saves time entering customer data.

 

Signature Pad:  Record customer signatures electronically. Which can be viewed at any time. (see update details on our website for more information).

 

NEW ! -  CardScan 800:  Record customer drivers licences and ID Card images directly to your customer card file.

 

Also...

o  Print Delivery/Pickup Directions & Maps directly from our software. 

o  Send Bulk or Single SMS messages to customers. Use the template facility for more flexibility.
