When you use HirePOS®, you trust us with your information. This Privacy Statement is meant to help you understand what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. When you share information with us, we can make our services more useful to you, and you help us continue to improve our services into the future. As you use our services, we want to be clear with you on how we’re using your information and the ways in which you can protect your privacy. This is important; we hope you will take the time to read it carefully.
When we say ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’, we are referring to Innercircle Technology Pty Ltd, its employees and related entities. Innercircle Technology Pty Ltd is the provider of the HirePOS® hire and rental software, the software that this privacy statement applies to in addition to our websites and other services.
This privacy statement also refers to ‘you’, the user, subscriber, or viewer of the HirePOS software, our websites, or other related services. We can be easily contacted in regards to this statement or for any other purpose via the contact information available at the end of this statement.
Innercircle Technology Pty Ltd makes every effort to put in place suitable precautions to safeguard the security and privacy of personal data and to prevent it from being altered, corrupted, destroyed or accessed by unauthorized third parties. However, we do not control each and every risk related to the use of the Internet, and therefore warn our users of the potential risks involved in the functioning and use of the Internet. HirePOS and any related documentation or correspondence may include links to other web sites or other internet sources. As we cannot control these websites and external sources, we cannot be held responsible for the provision or display of these web sites and external sources, and may not be held liable for the content, advertising, products, services or any other material available on or from these websites or external sources.
We collect data to operate effectively and provide you with the best experience with HirePOS. You provide some of this data directly, such as when you request a trial, create a subscription, or enter data into the application. We get some of it by recording how you interact with our services by, for example, using technologies like cookies, and receiving error reports or usage data from software running on your device. We may also obtain data from third parties (including other companies). For example, we may supplement the data we collect by purchasing demographic data from other companies. We also use services from other companies to help us determine a location based on your IP address in order to customize certain services to your location. The data we collect depends on the services and features you use.
We use the data we collect for three basic purposes: to operate our business and provide (including improving and personalizing) the services we offer, which can include making it available in part to our third-party providers, to send communications, including promotional communications, and to support you in your use of the HirePOS software. In carrying out these purposes, we combine data we collect through the various web site services you use to give you a more seamless, consistent and personalized experience. However, to enhance privacy, we have built in technological and procedural safeguards designed to prevent certain data combinations. For example, we store data we collect from you when you are unauthenticated (not signed in) separately from any account information that directly identifies you, such as your name, email address or phone number.
We share your personal data with your consent or as necessary to complete any transaction or provide any service you have requested or authorized. For example, we share your content with third parties when you tell us to do so. When you provide payment data to make a purchase, we will share payment data with banks and other entities that process payment transactions or provide other financial services, and for fraud prevention and credit risk reduction. If you receive promotional email or SMS messages from us and would like to opt-out, you can do so by following the directions in that message. These choices do not apply to mandatory service communications that are part of our billing, or core HirePOS services.
The service that HirePOS is hosted on (Microsoft Azure) is a worldwide provider of online services and has data centres located all over the world. Your data, by design, will primarily be physically stored in a location in the same region as you, for performance, regulatory, and security reasons. However, it is possible for backups and/or traces of your data to be stored in other regions. We have safeguards in place, as does Microsoft, to protect your data in whatever location it is stored. We put a lot of effort into ensuring your data stays in places we control and trust at all times.
The nature of the data we are holding, the nature of our current relationship with you, and our ongoing business needs in relation to the data are all factors that can affect how long we retain the data for. We will retain your data for the duration of any active subscription or relationship we have with you, and for a period of time afterwards until we are confident we have no further use for it. If our only purpose for your data is statistical in nature, your data will be anonymized for long-term storage and usage.
